It's all about PRIORITIES.

This Court is heavily involved in handling juvenile matters. I am the only candidate who has extensive experience in prosecuting and defending juvenile offenders. There is a strong possibility that the County Courts of Grayson County will soon obtain concurrent family-law jurisdiction with the District Courts, meaning the next judge must have experience in family law matters. I am the only candidate who has significant experience in the area of family law, which include matters relating to divorce, modifications, enforcement/contempt, custody, termination matters, adoptions, guardian ad litem, attorney ad litem, and matters involving the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

THE COURT

The County Court-at-Law 2 is a court of general jurisdiction.  However, its docket is comprised of approximately 90-95% criminal cases. The citizens of Grayson County should expect, and certainly demand, a judge that is immediately and imminently familiar with the cases before him upon taking office.  I have practiced law for 29 years, twice as long as the combined legal experience of my opponents (5 and 9 years, respectively).

Since the present judge has been on the bench in County Court-at-Law 2, I have appeared before her over 635 times.
